KSRTC Ka Cargo Service Debut: Plane Ne Uthaya, Truck Kiraye Ka
Keralam Transport Minister C.P. John flagged off the KSRTC cargo service on Wednesday, October 7, at the Thiruvananthapuram Domestic Airport cargo terminal. The inaugural consignment was one tonne of mobile phones, flown from Delhi to Thiruvananthapuram International Airport by Air India and then transported to Aluva in a truck hired by KSRTC.
The service launches with five vehicles in the initial phase and is to be expanded gradually; the five trucks currently in use are taken on a wet-lease basis. The minister said KSRTC would eventually operate a large fleet of over a hundred trucks. The project is included in the government's 100-day action plan.
The initiative is aimed at increasing non-ticket revenue, and the minister said the revenue will be used in a manner that benefits KSRTC passengers. KSRTC studied the cargo service models of various State Road Transport Corporations before launching the service. Scorpion Cart Logistics and Cargo Cart Logistics are providing support for it.
Arey bhaiya, shabaash.
Yaani baaki trucks abhi sirf PowerPoint mein chal rahe hain. Hum samjha rahe hain, yeh bura nahi, har bada kaam chhote kiraye se shuru hota hai. Par jab bus company ka cargo plane se shuru ho aur truck udhaar ka ho, toh Prachand Chutiya Management Committee ko pehle apna parking lot dekhna chahiye.
FINAL VERDICTAaj ka 'Udhaar Ki Fleet, Apna Sapna' Samman KSRTC ko. Manzil door hai, par kiraye ka truck sabse tez daudta hai. Prachand Chutiya of the Quarter, bas milestone ka intezaar.
