Synth Banane Wali Company: Products Hi Business Nahi Hain
Teenage Engineering founder and CEO Jesper Kouthoofd told Highsnobiety that the company plans to stop making synthesizers, including the OP-1. He said he announced the plan to his team last fall as part of a reorganization. The OP-1, launched in 2011, put the company on the map, according to The Verge.
Other Teenage Engineering products named in the article, such as the OP-XY, EP-133 and TP-7, are music or audio-focused. The company is also a design firm and has collaborated with Ikea, Nothing and Playdate, among others. The Verge called the decision confusing, because almost everything the company makes itself is music or audio-focused.
Mr Kouthoofd told Highsnobiety: “Everyone was like, ‘What are you talking about?’ But I’ve come to the conclusion that, for us, the products aren’t the business,” He added: “We can be so much more than that.” Teenage Engineering did not immediately return The Verge's request for comment.
Arey bhaiya, Teenage Engineering ke CEO Jesper Kouthoofd ne Highsnobiety ko bataya ki company synthesizers banana band karegi, OP-1 samet. OP-1 2011 mein aaya tha aur article ke mutabik wahi company ko map par laya. Unka kehna: 'for us, the products aren't the business.' Company design firm bhi hai, Ikea, Nothing aur Playdate ke saath kaam kar chuki hai.
The Verge ne khud kaha ki yeh faisla confusing hai, kyunki company ke apne zyadatar products music ya audio ke hain. Matlab chai ki dukaan wale ne bola ki chai business nahi hai, hum cup design karenge. Hum izzat karte hain. Par jab company ke naam ke peeche audio products hi hon, tab CEO ka 'we can be so much more than that' Prachand Chutiya Strategy Deck ke pehle slide jaisa lagta hai. Aur company ne The Verge ke comment ke request ka abhi jawab nahi diya.
FINAL VERDICTAaj ka 'Chai Nahi, Cup Business' Samman Teenage Engineering ko. Prachand Chutiya Award pehle hi pivot ho gaya, abhi concept stage mein hai.
